The Apollinaire Tower, in the heart of a region where music resonates
At La Tour Apollinaire we are passionate about music and lucky to live in a region with a vibrant music and cultural scene. From regular symphonic concerts, opera productions and International touring orchestras at Theatre de l’Archipel (designed by architect Jean Nouvel), the world-renowned Pablo Casals chamber music festival in Prades in summer to the top class jazz, celebrated by the famous Jazzebre festival in Perpignan in October – there is no shortage of musical inspiration and delights.
Ted Rosenthal at the Château: a meeting between jazz and classical music
At the Chateau in July, we were proud to host several solo concerts of Ted Rosenthal, an acclaimed American jazz pianist and composer and one of the leading moderne jazz musicians. His unique improvisations of great hits by Gershwin, Cole Porter, Scott Joplin with his own compositions and interpretations of classical masterpieces by Beethoven, Dvorak and Brahms left the audience spellbound. We were lucky to have for this special occasion the crown jewel of pianos, Steinway, very kindly lent to us by our friends and partners, Delmas Musique.
